Dear CIS Family,
Friday the 25th May was such a colourful day on campus, owing to the cultural displays by students and teachers in commemoration of CIS Diversity Day.
Everyone was royally entertained by the various displays representing the diverse nationalities within the CIS community. These ranged from dressing to dance; music to anthems. The presentations were excellent examples of how we value and appreciate each other at CIS, regardless of our different backgrounds and culture. Witnessing the event, one cannot agree more with Maya Angelous’ quote, that states that, “…in diversity, there is beauty and there is strength.”
It was wonderful to see how the students passionately made their presentations irrespective of whether or not their roots were linked to the countries they represented. This proved our students’ understanding of diversity and their appreciation of one another.
We are proud of the global ambassadorial potential that is embedded in our learners.
As a school, we give enormous thanks to our students’ parents for their support on this day and our teachers are also highly appreciated.
The thrilling performance by the Pathfinder Group will not be forgotten in a hurry. It was an exhilarating and breathtaking experience. For those of you who were unable to attend, we have captured the event in pictures and video to show you how it all panned out.
