Our Primary  and Secondary schools are co-educational - accommodating boys and girls from the ages of 2 years 6 months to 16 years. You are welcome to visit, preferably during school hours when you can see the children at work. We are happy to discuss your child's needs, answer questions and explain our policies and procedures.
The school operates from four buildings housing students from Foundation level t o Upper Secondary level in their respective buildings, with the administration offices of Primary and Secondary schools located within their respective buildings.
Welcome-Children's International School is one of the leading providers of first class Primary and Secondary education in Lagos, Nigeria today. We are indeed an International school with over twenty five countries represented in our student population. We offer a rich, diverse and stimulating extra-curricular programme that would appeal to most if not all of our students.

CAREER PATH

Dear Parents,

As the students at C.I.S progress through the school, it becomes more and more important that they gain an awareness of their possible future career route.

In order to open the students' minds to the world of work after education, I would like to introduce opportunities for the students, particularly those in Year 9, to hear from the people actually involved in the career, they would need to know what is required to attain the career, what is involved in the day to processes of the career, the opportunities available and the level of work and expectations of the employers within the different careers.

I would like to form a partnership with parents who may be willing to give up an hour of their time during the school day to give a talk or presentation regarding their experiences and their careers.

If you yourselves are not able to attend, but can arrange for someone from your career area to attend, this is perfectly fine.

I intend to approach various facilities myself, but you as parents have a wealth of information that can be shared with the students. I would also like to cover as many career/work paths as possible.

As far as the commitment is concerned, it would be for one hour and once in an Academic Year initially.

Year 9 have to select their study options in the Third term and guidance as to what subjects are necessary will obviously come from ourselves, but you can also guide them by providing them with insights into the various careers.

If you are willing to consider working with us in this venture, and EVERY career path is equally important, please contact either myself or Mr Akinyemi in the Admin office.

I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible.

Best regards,

Kenneth Sugden
