Day 1 (Arrival)
The students arrived at Orlando safely. It was a long journey. They checked in to the hotel, relaxed a bit, some students had a swim and then they went to have dinner. Now it’s time to sleep and rest and wake up ready for the Orlando Science Center.
Day 2
Today we went to Orlando Science Centre……Here is what the students had to say:
Today we had breakfast then went to the Science Centre. It was interesting and a lot of fun. I learnt many new things and I definitely will be going on another science trip next year. I loved the Engineering IT exhibit, the dinosaurs, the fish and I love Orlando in general. I bought something at the gift shop for myself and my brother.

Today we visited the Orlando Science Centre which was fun but also very educational. First, before we went there we needed breakfast so we all gathered and went to the café at the hotel. After that we went to the Orlando Science Centre. We met a really nice lady named Miss Erica who helped us get round the place.
Then we arrived at the Physics lab where we got to have fun experiments. Next we got to the play area; there we got to play with toys and things to do with science. It was a lot of fun and we learnt so many things during the experiments and other very cool stuff. We also went to a gift shop where we bought toys, USBs and other things. We had a lot of fun and learnt so many things.

Day 3
Today we went to the ATX (Astronaut Training Experience): we talked to an amazing astronaut named Jon McBride who told us all about his life as an astronaut. First of all, we were split into two groups in order of the letters( A for Atlantis and D for Discovery) given to us at the back of our name cards. My group started with the landing a space shuttle simulator. We were in pairs and tried to land the space shuttle. Next, we went to the astronaut mission training area to train for a mission simulator. Minutes later, we went into positions (like commander, pilot, astronaut, FIDO) we were put in and landed the shuttle successfully. Afterwards we went to get some things from the shops and came back to the hotel. Today was AWESOME!!!

Today, we did quite a lot of things: first we went to the ATX then we went to the outlet malls. At the ATX we were told what we were going to do the whole day. Then we were introduced to an astronaut called Jon McBride. He told us about his career and a little bit about his life. Then we went on to look and experience a similar way of how future astronauts are trained. We applied all the training and did the exact same thing the astronauts do in space. We were given roles like the mission specialist, commander, flight director and many more. We then simulated a space shuttle mission talking to each other in control rooms and monitoring consoles. At the end of the day we all went shopping after we had lunch. It was really a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed it. Orlando is worth it, it is a place to come for a vacation and yes, it is a dream come true.

Day 4
Today was just another fantastic day at the John F. Kennedy Space Center: Visitor’s Complex (KSC). The first thing our group did was go on the bus tour; on that bus tour, everyone stopped at the Apollo/Saturn V Station. We saw a short film (two actually) that showed the progress of the Apollo program. Just after that, I had the most thrilling feeling of my 11-year-old life: I had just seen a REAL rocket, the Saturn V was in front of my eyes (this was the largest rocket ever built); it was too big to take a picture, so I had to take a video to cover the entire length of the rocket! Although I didn’t get to see Atlantis, the last orbiter in space, I bought a smaller replica of it from the gift shop. I was also one of the three people to go inside a space capsule. Above all, I learnt quite a few things on this trip by observing and listening to my surroundings.

Day 5
On this exact day, Wednesday 24th of March 2016, C.I.S students that participated in the Orlando trip went to an amazing Amusement Park called Universal Studios, it was such an astonishing and remarkable experience everyone had so much fun. First when we arrived, Mr. Bhila (the trip director) got each of us tickets in order to let us get in, then when we got inside we split up to go on rides. Mr. Bhila told us to meet at exactly 1:30pm in a restaurant so we could have lunch. After lunch we went on a few more rides, then to the souvenir shops until… it was getting late, so sadly in addition to that we had to head back to the hotel. However it was still such a flabbergasting day and it was fun while it lasted. We all owe a big thank you to these teachers: Mr. Sharafa, Ms. Animasaun, and Mr. Wale and of course Mr. Bhila, for letting us have such an amazing time. Thank you.

WET N WILD
Today, Thursday 24th of March 2016, the C.I.S students that participated in the Orlando trip went to a thrilling water park called Wet’n Wild. It was an incredible and impeccable experience that each and every individual enjoyed. Firstly when we arrived, we all stood in a line waiting to enter the water park while Mr. Bhila got all of us tickets to get in. Next, when we got inside we changed into our swimsuits and split up into groups of 2-4 people to go on rides. Mr. Bhila told us to meet him at the beach chairs by 4:00 pm on the dot. He also said that if we ever needed to eat we should go to him. We actually did not leave the park till after 5:30 pm as we were having so much fun. After this lovely experience, most of us went to a collectibles shop and bought valued items. We then came back to the hotel and got ready to go to a mall. When we got to the mall it was pouring so we all had to briskly run to the food court. At the food court we ate again after which we split into groups of 2-5 people to go to various shops in the mall. We all applaud these 4 teachers that have carried our weight for a few days. Thank you Mr. Bhila, Mr. Sharafa, Ms. Woju(Ms. Animasaun) and Mr. Wale.

Day 7
On Friday 26 March 2016 C.I.S students visited ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE. It was an unforgettable adventure; we went on several thrilling rides like Chinese Fireball, Incredible Hulk etc. All of the students enjoyed this theme park because at the end of the day everybody was begging to stay. After the rides had closed due to bad weather we all decided to start playing arcades. This was one of the highlights of the day, as everybody wanted to get the highest amount of tickets and win the biggest prize. We left the theme park smiling from ear to ear. We thank the four teachers that were overseeing us on this particular day and the whole week and we applaud these teachers for their patience and always providing the best decision for us as students although it was sometimes not easy. Thank you, MS.WOJU, MR. BHILA, MR. SHARAFA AND MR.WALE for helping us make the best day ever.
