Isioma Ogodazi was born in Nigeria but educated almost exclusively in the UK. She returned to Nigeria in 1984 to complete her National Youth Service. She has a passion for gardening, art and reading.
Isioma has a wealth of experience in Customer Service, Quality and Human Resources Management, spanning thirty years 30 years in various organizations within the Banking industry. Currently she is consulting for one of the big 7 banks in her specialist area of building, implementing and developing Strategic HR Teams. Her key areas of passion in Human Capital Management (HCM) is in HCM alignment to business strategic priorities with a strong focus on talent management, learning and development.
She started her career with the now defunct Continental Merchant Bank in 1986 from where she moved to Guaranty Trust Bank in 1992 as the Head, Customer Service & Total Quality Management and subsequently rose to the position of Head, Human Resources in 1994 – 1998.
She later on took up an appointment with the start-up team of Standard Chartered Bank where she served as the Head of Human Resources (1999-2007) and Head, Talent Management Global Support Functions, UK H/O (2008-2009) before her move to Stanbic IBTC Holdings. She retired from Stanbic IBTC Holdings as Group Head, Human Resources in April 2013.
