Progression

The move to Senior School is an important transition point for every child. At CIS this move is seamless for our Year 6 students as they are simply moving to another area of our school site. They continue to work alongside pastoral and academic staff who know them well, enhanced by the excellent communication between our Junior and Senior School colleagues.

Since Pre-School, students will have been making use of our extensive, shared resources such as the swimming pool and main hall. This means they will feel comfortable when further exploring the Senior School and facing the challenges of progressing to Key Stage 3.

To support all children we hold a series of transition days and events that orientate them into Senior School life. This also gives the year group the opportunity to meet new friends, who are joining the CIS family for the first time.

By continuing the strong pastoral and academic support, that is evident throughout the Junior School, our students go on to thrive both pastorally and academically, as they continue their CIS journey.

I love technology club and using my laptop to learn.
